David Quiggle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Inc. - Wesleyville from Sep. 20 to Sep. 21, 2022.
David Evan Quiggle

Loving husband and father, David Evan Quiggle went home to Jesus on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at age 70, peacefully at home after a ten year courageous battle with Alzheimers. Dave was born to Richard and Lois Quiggle on June 4, 1952 in Erie, PA. As a child, he was a Boy Scout, had a paper route, and pitched in a local boys' baseball league where he earned the affectionate nickname "Tornado Dave".

Dave and Debbie married in November 1973 and went on to have four children, David, Daniel, Joel, and Grace. They loved spending time together and were the great loves of each other's lives for almost 50 years. Dave worked for Hammermill Paper Company for 29 years. He went on to earn an associate degree for Physical Therapy Assistant from Mercyhurst College. He then went on to work at Penn State Behrend until his retirement.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father and husband, Dave enjoyed playing golf and basketball, and he was a gifted singer. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him so much joy. Throughout his life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He loved, and was well loved by, his long-time church family at Garden Heights Baptist Church. Dave would often minister to people by singing at his church and other events. Those who knew him were blessed by his gift and he touched the lives of many in his community. He was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved serving God with his talent.

Dave joins his father and mother in Heaven. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, David (Shannon), Daniel (Carly), Joel (Megan) and Grace (TJ); his six grandchildren, Beatrice, Liam, Quinn, Anna, Crosby, and Simon; his brothers, Rick, Tom (Sandy), and John (Gabi); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins

We will all miss him dearly but are happy for him as he celebrates his new life with his Heavenly Father

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday, September 23rd, from 5 to 7 pm. Further visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24th, at Garden Heights Baptist Church, 4224 McClelland Avenue, from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at noon. Private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
