I´m sad to hear of David`s passing. A wonderful memory I have of David was our senior play in 1980. I asked him if he would participate with me in my skit and he willingly and joyfully did. I was dressed up as Dolly Parton and I was singing the song "two doors down" and David was the two doors down Guy who I was singing to!! He participated beautifully and he was wonderful to be friends with. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May the angels rally around all who mourn.

Dave was more than a friend or perhaps a brother to me. He was my comrade. He enjoyed the historical dialectics and the philosophy of Kant the Hegel. His skills were artistic and he created masterpiece pieces. Sadly, his suffering from the effects of concussions and the related health problems forced his hand. He will be missed by many. I will see him again in Valhalla.

Dave was a special friend and my teammate at UCLA. He had a heart the size of the Superdome and a sense of humor to match. He was a phenomenal defensive tackle. I love you Dave and I know that God has wrapped you in His arms.

I met Dave as a patient in my RN care many, many years ago. He and Emily, while patiently waiting their turn for Dave´s procedure, accidentally set off the Oxygen alarm! My initial run to "rescue" Dave, soon became a hysterical laugh fest..,with my heart filling with joy meeting the guy who married our sweet co-worker and dear friend, Emily. My heart and prayers are with your entire family- I hope to provide support to Emily and her family, as she has done so many times for me and my family. May you feel the prayers from all who love you, and may the shared thoughts of Dave surround you with great peace. Emily, I love reading and re-reading your beautiful tribute to Dave, he was truly a Warrior! And a Character who´s spirit will live forever! Hugs and Prayers from the Woods Family
