David Ream - My brother and friend.
David was my brother. We first met on the football field when we were in 7th grade. David was the quarterback for the losing Cochran Team. I think I tackled him and then shook his had after Garfield won. We next met in Johnstown High School. David was extremely popular, a great wrestler, and a gifted student in the JHS class of 1963.
Our friendship blossomed when we both entered Washington & Jefferson College. We were roommates during our college years as well as Phi Gamma Delta fraternity brothers. David excelled on the wrestling team and in the classroom. We shared many math and economic classes and great times together.
David was cool and he mentored me in many ways. He even taught me about a store named Brooks Brothers! His sense of humor was subtle, but very effective. He was one of the leaders of the fraternity house as well as the best steward ever. His love of food and meal planning was a joy to all.
David was ahead of his time. After graduation, David went on to business and law schools. During that time, David along with his brother Chuck (who was the W&J football coach) developed a computer program for offensive play calling. This program was used by David in an actual football game where David called all W&J´s offensive plays using the computer program. This may be the first and maybe even the only "live" computer football game.
David then entered the business world and was a success. When I was working on an investment transaction in Toronto, the top litigation lawyer in Toronto stated he was working with Chevon on a very complicated deal. When I inquired whether he knew David, this lawyer stated David was the lead lawyer on this deal and further stated David was the most outstanding and smartest corporate lawyer he had ever met. David was brilliant.
Sibyl and David raised a great family and David often talked about how he was so lucky. We chatted and communicated via e-mail over the past years staying up to date, sharing funny stories, and our thoughts about the world.
I will miss his wisdom, humor, guidance, and caring soul. Rest well, brother.

I was very saddened to hear of David´s passing. Sibyl, you have my sincerest sympathy. 10 years later, I fondly remember your precious "fat cats" I used to house sit. At the time, they were the largest cats I had ever met! David was a kind man and I am sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Camil Pato

Dear Sibyl. Rod MacDonald here. Bonnie told me the very sad news of David´s passing, such a shock for everyone. David was a wonderful and fine man. I remember my visits with you both at Wind Trace Court with fond memories, all those years ago. My heart felt condolences are sure with you and your family at this difficult time, and the times ahead. Wishing all of you comfort and peace.
