David L. Redmiles

David L. Redmiles, 91, died peacefully at Silverado Assistant Living/Memory Care in Frederick, MD, under the care of Hospice for 5 days. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (See) Redmiles. He leaves behind Sarita Rockey (Bill) of Westminster, MD, Dawn Reidy (Terrence) of Bunker Hill, WV, David L. Redmiles, JR, (Lisa) of Salem, IN, and Constance McCoy of Camden, DE. He had 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was also proceeded in death by his 3 siblings, all of MD.

David was an arborist for much of his long life. He belonged to the ISA (International Society of Arborculture), & MAA (Maryland Arborist Association). He was a licensed Tree Expert (LTE). He and his wife also ran a successful bus contracting business for 30 plus years. Tree and Bus businesses were incorporated under the name Redmiles Services, Inc. He and his wife were successful in owning and renting various properties.

David loved the outdoors. He loved walking in the outdoors and surveying his properties. He lived most of his life in Howard County, born in Laurel, MD, raised a family in Fulton & Mt. Airy. He enjoyed a second home/ retreat area in Allegany County, MD, known as Camp Misery. He enjoyed hunting and crabbing, and poker in his younger days. He loved his Jack Daniels and coke, and a good steak and baked potato. He was known for his never-ending drive and determination with some "orneriness" thrown in.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff @ Silverado in his last year of life, as well as hospice in his last days. He requested no service. If anyone would like to donate money as a rememberance, please consider Frederick County Hospice, MD.
