David E. Reinmann, born July 10, 1937, in Plainfield, NJ to Raymond Reinmann and Viola Harris Reinmann; brother to Raymond Reinmann, Jr., John Reinmann, and Arlene "Sandy" Narbonne Reinmann, passed away on January 5, 2024.

David entered the U.S. Army at age 15 and was accepted due to his large size. He trained and served in Korea from 1951 to 1953 as an Airborne Ranger in the 82nd. He survived P.O.W. camp in Manchia, China and was returned to the United States after his detainment.

He married Barbara Waldheim Reinmann in 1957 and had four children, David Reinmann, Jr., Tom Reinmann, Mark Reinmann, and Scott Reinmann. He worked railroad lines and tree removal until he received his realtor's license. He opened Reinmann Realty and five years later, Reinmann Fuel Oil Company. He became president of the Plainfield Area Board of Realtors through his success and hard work and served two terms. During this period, he moved his family from North Plainfield, NJ to the mountains of Watchung, NJ where they lived until 1985. He frequently took the family to New York City and the Jersey Shore, as well as across the country.

David retired from real estate, moved to West Port, NY, and remarried to Katherine Heuser Reinmann on May 1, 1986, and became father to Dawn Reinmann. He purchased 300 acres and opened Eagle Valley Horse Farm and operated it from 1986 to 1992 where he and his family raised horses and cattle, gave horse rides, and maintained this large parcel of land.

In 1993 he moved again making Au Sable Forks his home. He opened NCI, a property management company and worked with family members, Dawn Reinmann, Scott Reinmann, Mark Reinmann and Brittany Reinmann.

David loved to work and always said he needed to work to stay alive. He encouraged a strong work ethic for all his children and raised his family with Christian values.

David was predeceased by two of his sons, David Reinmann, Jr. who was lost 17 years ago to cancer, and Mark Reinmann lost five years ago, also to cancer.

A true pioneer, David will be remembered for his grand presence, kind nature, hard work ethic, his numerous accomplishments, and his love for family.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
