David Franklin Rheppard, age 70, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on October 10, 1955, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, to Maurice Andrew Rheppard and Martha Mae Edith (Shiffer) Rheppard.

On August 7, 1973, David married the love of his life, Marcella Christine Maines, in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Together they built a life rooted in love, dedication, and family, sharing more than five decades side by side.

David was a man who loved working with his hands and figuring out how things worked. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and tractors, fabricating and creating things, and spending time outdoors. Fishing brought him peace, and holidays brought him joy—especially when they were spent surrounded by family.

One of David’s greatest joys was time spent with his grandchildren. Whether playing, teaching, or simply being present, those moments meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a steady presence for those who knew him. His quiet strength, generosity, and willingness to help others will be fondly remembered.

David leaves to mourn his passing wife, Marcella Rheppard of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; son, David Rheppard, Jr. (Melinda) of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dayton Brock Rheppard of Akron, Colorado, and Shelly Madeline Rheppard of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; brothers, Maurice Rheppard of North Carolina, and Fred Klinger of North Umberland, Pennslyvania; sisters, Lena Leitzel of New Columbia, Pennslyvania, Martha Christine Reese of Washingtonville, Pennslyvania, Bonnie Fogleman of Milton, Pennslyvania, and Jane Horn of North Carolina; as well as many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents (Maurice and Martha Rheppard), brother (Charles Rheppard), and two sisters (Sally Zimmerman and Carol Woody).
