David LeRoy Rice

David LeRoy Rice, died September 30, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 94.

David is survived by his wife, of 72 years, Betty Jane Kollman Rice, brother Robert (Bob) Rice and wife Marge of St. Joseph MN; daughter Sherry Rice Rhodes and her husband Tim of Oklahoma City and grandchildren Ryan and Benjamin Rhodes; son Mike Rice and his wife Tammy of Grand Junction, CO and grandson Michael Rice. He was preceded in death by parents, Mildred Pietz Rice Nolan and Willard James Rice, of St. Cloud MN; sister Viola Jones of Bloomington, MN and brother William (Billy) Rice of Moundsview, MN.

David was born on August 2, 1931 in Litchfield, Minnesota and grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He married Betty J. Kollman on April 14,1952. He had a long career in sales and retail store management throughout the Midwest before finally settling in Oklahoma. David never met a stranger, starting conversations with everyone he met. He could fix anything, kept the neatest tool garage and his favorite expression was "nothing to it, just do it." As one grandson said, "he lived his life at 100 miles per hour."
