David Wayne Richmond

David Wayne Richmond, 69, Odessa passed away on January 20, 2026, at his residence in Odessa.

David was born on August 18, 1956, in Odessa to Billie Napier Richmond and William C. Richmond. He was a retired oil field worker for many years working for various companies. David enjoyed fishing and camping, lounging around the house while drinking his Budweiser beer and listening to his favorite Country songs. He also loved football, especially the Dallas Cowboys but most recently he started to root for the Kansas City Chiefs. David had an affinity for tye-dye clothes and accessories and had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed being around his family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Billie Richmond and grandson, Adam Hubanks.

David leaves behind his children, John David McIntyre and his wife Candy of Fort Stockton, Texas, Joshua Richmond and his wife Brandy of Andrews, Sarah Richmond of North Dakota, Jacob Richmond of Odessa and Jerome Richmond of North Dakota; brothers, William H. Richmond and his wife Denise of Houston and his daughter, Tamara Richmond and her sons, Austin Shepardson, Alex Shepardson and Brandson Shepardson and her daughters, Evelyn Nichols and Keira Nichols; and his other brother, Randy Richmond and his wife Lydia of Ballinger, Texas and his daughter, Rebecca Atkinson and her children, Joseph Richmond, Tyler Atkinson, Lindsey Atkinson and Arlen Atkinson; grandchildren, Jetty Mcintyre, Jonathan Richmond, William Richmond, Cheyenne Richmond, Colton Richmond, Destiny Schoenherr, Emery Schoenherr, Jackson Richmond and Matthew Richmond.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation services will be handled by Acres-West Funeral Home in Odessa.
