David Riner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson-Moore Funeral Home AKA Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow - Denison on May 6, 2024.
David Ray Riner, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated member of his community, passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on November 8, 1948, to Billy Ray and Neva Ernestine Riner. David's life was characterized by passion, dedication, and a love for those around him.
David found love in Karen Lynn Riner, whom he married on February 14, 2008, in Sanford, Florida. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership, enriching each other's lives in countless ways.
Professionally, David was a skilled commercial contractor. He was a proud member of the Iron Workers Union Local 263, where his craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting mark on the projects he undertook.
Beyond his professional pursuits, David was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Denison, Texas, where he found camaraderie and community. He had a zest for life, fueled by his passions for Harley Davidson motorcycles, which he rode with enthusiasm, and his love for fishing and boating, activities that brought him peace and joy.
David leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Riner of Pottsboro, Texas; his sons, Matthew Glenn Janzer of Florida, and Kyler Glenn Janzer and wife Flor of Pottsboro, Texas; his grandchildren, Johnathan, Hailey, and James Janzer of Pottsboro, Texas; his brother Mitchell Riner and wife Deborah of Florida; his brother Tracy Riner of Pottsboro, Texas; his niece Ali Riner and nephew Ty Riner, both of Pottsboro, Texas; and his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Karen Sutliff of Michigan; and brother-in-law Timothy Sutliff of Georgia.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray and Neva Ernestine Riner, and his sister Ellen Michelle Kaffenberger. Though he has left this world, David's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, his memory a source of comfort and inspiration.
In honoring David's life, let us remember his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
