David Robinette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMillan-Small Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 3, 2025.
With profound sadness, we announce that David Christopher (Chris) Robinette, 63, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly January 22, 2025 as the result of an accident. Chris was born on April 7, 1961 in Bristol Tennessee to loving parents Dr. David E. and Rita E. Robinette. Raised in Fairfax, Virginia, Chris attended James W. Robinson Secondary School. He went on to earn a degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Chris had a distinguished career both in Virginia and South Carolina as a Radiologic Technologist. He had a passion for helping others, and his natural affability was a source of reassurance for many. There were many things that brought joy into Chris's life: sports (especially his beloved Tennessee Vols), music, shag dancing, the outdoors, animals, and above all-his family. Chris was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. Chris is predeceased by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathryn Karr; his children, Ben Robinette (Melody) and Victoria Miller (Brad); his sister, Shannon Robinette Minnick (Duane); his niece and nephew Payton and Brody Minnick; and two grandchildren, June and Marshall Miller. Those who knew Chris, knew that he was a kind-hearted, generous, funny man, who befriended all with his easy-going, happy-go-lucky nature. He will be greatly missed, but treasured for always. "God has you in his keeping. We have you in our hearts." A celebration of Chris's life will be held at 2:00, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
