Deacon David Wayne Robinson, Sr., 62, a cherished husband, father, and veteran, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 202, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo MS. Born on December 5, 1961, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, MS, David's impact was felt far and wide throughout his life.
David served honorably in the United States Army, exemplifying dedication and service to his country. His journey through life was marked not only by his military service but also by his unwavering love for his family and community. David was a beacon of light in this world filled with forces of darkness. A devoted husband to Astra Whitfield - Robinson, David leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In addition to his Wife, Astra, He is also survived by his beloved (Sons): David W. (Frederica) Robinson, Jr., Devin (Audrey Fort) Robinson, Dario Robinson, and (Daughter) Pamela (Shaness, Sr.) Lee. Each of his children carries forward the values instilled by their father, reflecting his spirit in their lives. David is also survived by his (Brothers): Willie Joe (Eunice) Robinson, Tarlyn (Tinesha) Smith, and Elton (Sherlean) Troupe; (Sister-In-Law): Julia Buckingham Dilworth; (Aunts): Lizzy Barnes and Mary Rowe; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Bonus Grandchildren.
David was predeceased by his father, Joe Robinson, and his mother, Mary Lucille Dilworth. Their presence in his life shaped him into the man he became, and their memories will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones. He was also preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Johnny Dilworth, Christon Robinson, Oral Robinson; and 1 Bonus Brother: Willie Troupe, Jr.; 2 Sisters: Bennie Lorraine Moore Randle and Elizabeth Young-McGee; and 1 Grandson: Trelyn Lee.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home in Amory, MS. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, Saturday, October 5, 2024, starting at 3:30 PM at Carter's Chapel Church Of The Living God in Amory, MS.
David Wayne Robinson, Sr. will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His love for his family and his courage as a service member are enduring testaments to a life well-lived.
