David Henry Ross, 64, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Stockton, California, after a long illness. Born on September 1, 1961, in Houston, Texas, David was a longtime resident of Benicia, California, where he built a life filled with hard work, laughter, and love. For more than 40 years, David dedicated his career to his craft as a Boilermaker and General Foreman. Known for his strong work ethic and leadership, he took pride in his profession and the many friendships he built along the way. A true sports fan, David cheered faithfully for his beloved Green Bay Packers. He also had a passion for barbecuing and smoking meats, often sharing his cooking with friends and family. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and camping, finding joy in the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid domino player and loved watching American Ninja Warriors and the sunrise every morning from his back patio. Above all, David treasured time spent with his family, friends, and his loyal dog, Dakota. David is survived by his son Jesse J. Ross; wife, Debora Ross; his sister, Tracey E. Thomas; nephews Shawn & Jonathan Thomas, grand niece Zoey-Marie Thomas and his dog, Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Martha Ross. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Pasalacqua Funeral Chapel in Benicia. Burial will follow at the Benicia City Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Benicia Veterans Hall. David will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his warmth, humor, and devotion to those he loved.
