Few of is do anything that endures in the m ed movies of tend of thousands. I went to HS with David. We were not in the same circle, but everyone knew and liked him. He gave me and many an unforgettable thrill I'll never ever forget. A two out based loaded grand slam in the final inning vs hawaii. It may have even been a 3-2 count. I listened on the radio, WGIR. The feeling of pride, happiness for dave, it left a permanent memory of what makes sports great. He will not be forgotten by many who barely knew him. That is what a life of a special man is.

That home run was more than home run, it was a grand slam with 2 down and down 3 runs in the 7th vs. Hawaii. I'm 62 and I still remember er it alone of the most exciting moments of my life. Dave lives forever for among people he never new. I never saw him after teenage years but could never forget.

I new and played ball with David and was just reminiscing about the excitement of listening to that unforgettable heroic, story book homer, I think a grand slam, to win the series with two outs in I think the 7th of the final game. I remember the despair before the pitch. Then the excitement.

So I googled the game hoping for video.

I didnt expected this.

Thank you David for being a friend, competitor, and for that wonderful memory I think thousands shred together. Your name is forever etched in my memory.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had become acquainted with at David Memorial High School. He was a pleasant and outstanding person.

I will keep him in my thoughts for you and your family that you may find the strength to carry on in such difficult times.

Just got the news up here in Canada and I am deeply saddened by Dave's passing. Dave brought me up through the plumbing apprenticeship in the early 80's and was a great friend for many years before and after. He was one of the good guys and will be missed. My condolences to his wife and children.
