David Runion Obituary
David was born July 27, 1939, in Tiffin, to the late Daniel and Lillian I. (Myers) Runion. He married Betty J. (Dearth) in Republic on February 12, 1972 and she preceded him in death on August 22, 2005.
David is survived by his daughter, Lisa Runion of Clyde and his son, John (Lori) Runion of Republic, two grandchildren, Seth and Brody, three step-grandchildren, Timothy, Trey and Makenzie, a great-granddaughter, Raelynn, a brother, Dan (Coco) Runion of Clyde, a sister, Julia Runion of Bay View, and a special friend, Delores Chapman of Bellevue.
David retired in 2004 from Clyde Whirlpool and was a member of the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ. He was a 1959 graduate of Scipio Republic High School and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and Indians.
David was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty J. Runion and a brother, Petie Runion.
Funeral services for David will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the St. Jacob's United Church of Christ in Republic with the Rev. Darla Metz officiating. Visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m., until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow the services on Tuesday, at St. Jacob's cemetery. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society.
