David Salter Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Cameron Salter, a long time resident of the Boone area and Appalachian Brian Estates in his 92nd year at the Bristal residence in North Hills, New York on October 23, 2024.
At his bedside were his son Donald and aide Oliver Magos. David leaves behind his beloved wife Christina Howe of New York City and was predeceased by his second wife Yolande McKenna Salter (June 3rd, 2013) and first wife Claire Michaud Salter who passed Dec 7, 2016. David will be sorely missed by his two sons, Donald and Bob, their wives Minda and Julia, his grandchildren Owen, Rebecca, David Jr, his sister Gail Salter as well as extended family, friends and business associates. May he rest in peace.

My name is Kyndy Boyle and I met David in 2013 when I decided to open a private practice in Boone and rented space in the Boone Healing Arts Center. I found David to be incredibly kind and intelligent. He was always looking for ways to create business services to benefit people. He wanted the Boone Healing Arts center to allow practitioners in different disciplines to work together under one roof with the benefits of shared staffing and shared marketing. During our meetings I found him to be very creative and supportive. After I left to seek a larger space that would accommodate a talking practitioner (vs. being quiet like massage therapist there) he ended up giving me a laser. This was incredibly thoughtful and generous. I have used it 5 days a week, 4 weeks a month ever since!! He gave my husband and I a ride in his Tesla after getting it. Such fun we had! I last saw him at Bryan Estates in his room there and he was still thinking about ways to hook me up with residents there who would benefit from my PT skills. I regret that I did not get to say good bye to him. He was a truly special person. I also regret that his obituary did not include more details about his life such as his career, flight school he owned, BHAC or any other meaningful details where the reader would be able to learn more about this incredible mans life. I wish you to the best dear David. I personally was fond of you and will miss you.
