David L. Savinda

David L. Savinda, 70, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. David was born July 26, 1955, the son of the late Michael and Dolores (Marting) Savinda. Prior to his retirement, David worked as a safety coordinator at Quadrant. He loved fishing and hunting, but most importantly, spending time with family. David was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Savinda; and his sister, Susan Savinda. David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Michele (Stretavski) Savinda; as well as his two children, Brian (Amy) Savinda of Delmont and Tiffany Savinda of Delmont. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Savinda of Pittsburgh, Bernadette (Rick) Gunderman of Georgia, Michele Powell of Georgia, John (Lisa) Savinda of Pittsburgh, Elizabeth (Mark) Twentier of Butler, and Dennis (Patty) Savinda of Pittsburgh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Nicole (Cameron) Sorrells, Jacob Humberger, Nolan Savinda, Olivia Humberger, and Nathan Savinda; and his great-grandchildren, Hayes and Wells Sorrells, whom he cared for deeply. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, and then services will be private at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Dr., Delmont (724-468-1177).
