David Scharf Obituary
David Wayne Scharf, age 65, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Heart of Hospice in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born October 10, 1958, he was raised by his loving mother and stepfather, June and Francis Binz. David devoted his career to becoming a skilled handyman, where he mastered various technical abilities and earned the title of a "jack of all trades". He found solace in the outdoors, often going fishing, camping, or tinkering around his garden. He will be remembered for his kind soul, his understanding nature, and how he loved to lend a helping hand to his neighbors. David is survived by the love of his life, Debi Collins-Scharf of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one sister, Ann Scharf of Van Buren, Arkansas; mother-in-law, Jettie Keen; and longtime friends, Lucy Carr and her late husband, Bob. Micah Medina held a special place in David's heart, whom he thought of as a son. David will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather; brothers, Dan Scharf and wife Brenda, and George Scharf; sister, Claudia Rogers; nephews, Brian Rogers and Mark Scharf; and niece, Debra. Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
