There are no words to express my gratitude for the messages left here. Dave loved his job and those he worked with, he considered you all his dear friends. He would often say how blessed he was to have work he was passionate about. It was all about protecting the environment for him. You have truly honored his memory and I thank you for that. God bless each one of you.

Elaine, I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though I was never able to meet David I have so many fond memories of you and your family growing up in Grandville and with working at the phone company. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family during this very difficult time.

I worked on and off with Dave over the 30 years or so at the DNR/DEQ. He was always friendly and never got rattled. Years ago I sold him an old Kawasaki off road motorcycle. When I would see him on occasion, we would laugh about him still riding that old thing around his farm. Rest in peace friend, you will be missed!

It was my pleasure to work with Dave in the DEQ Biosolids Program. He had a wonderful talent for working with people and getting compliance without negative feelings. I'll miss his laugh and smile. The last time we talked he let me know about the best rib joint in Parker, Colorado. He was a wealth of information and I'm glad we crossed paths in life.

Dave is a great guy. I had the pleasure to work with him for about 10yrs in Biosolids for the City of Grandville. Such a gentle and quiet spirit. He will be greatly missed.

I was blessed to work with Dave for the last 17 years. I will miss: our conversations about life's journeys, our faith, his smile, and his mischievousness/teasing. You always made me smile Dave, thanks for being who you were.
