In addition to his beloved wife, David is survived by his sons, Ricky Scott and wife, Jackie of Carlyle, Illinois and Chuck Scott and wife, Lori of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Cathy Graham and husband, Orville of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brother, Donnie Scott of Mount Vernon, Illinois; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren;.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Andy Dale and Danny Scott; sister, Barbara Manley; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Lenda Scott; and great-granddaughter, Annica Brielle.
David enjoyed relaxing in his recliner, watching westerns or reading the newspaper. Above all, he loved his family.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm at East Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Mark Ritchey officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in David's honor to East Salem Cemetery.
