Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to personally meet David Seeman, but I had the privilege of watching the interviews and podcasts of the VAW/VRC Foundation with him. As a Grumman C-2A Greyhound historian, I share a deep connection with him. He served as a test pilot for both the Grumman C-2A, once in my birth year in 1964, and then in 1984 with the reprocured version. His heart always burned for the NAVY. We mourn his loss but are grateful that he reached the age of 95. Farewell, and thank you for all your work. RIP David

My first flight suit was gifted by Dave which he had embroidered a fancy "Grumman Flight Test" on the upper chest. Fifty years later I still wear it today at Foundation events.
In Naval Aviation we all have "call signs", Maverick, Goose, etc. I do not remember what his Navy signature was but at Plant 04, Bethpage we called him "Captain Caution". Dave received this pseudonym as there were times he was a real pain but he always did the right thing and took no excessive chances. Not to mention his interesting sense of humor. As we try to gather the community history, Dave was quite often our go-to guy. As a result of his many contributions, he has been inducted into the VAW-VRC Foundation Hall of Honor by his Hawkeye Greyhound community.
