I met David years ago. We always talked about our Italian heritage and traditions. I am so very sorry to read about his sudden death; very hard to comprehend. My condolences to his lovely family.

Dave was a dear friend for many decades. Best memory was changing some tires he had at the auto garage I ran in mid 80's on a Saturday afternoon. I was working by myself but "we"got it done and Dave was on his way... Minutes later, I see Dave walking back to garage... Dave tells me while driving one of his wheels passed him by....lol "We" forgot the lug nuts on one of the wheels. We laughed.. We also had many battles on the chess board. Miss him already.
