David SHARP Obituary

November 5, 1964 - July 22, 2025

Spokane - David Vernon Sharp, 60, entered into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Spokane, WA, on July 22, 2025. David was born in Colorado Springs, CO, on November 5th, 1964, to Robert and Esther (Clemens) Sharp. A 1983 Ferris High School alumni and 1987 Eastern Washington University graduate with bachelor's degrees in math and economics, David started and ran Sharp Appraisals, a successful home appraisal business, for over 30 years.

David will be remembered for endlessly searching for his keys and wallet with Big Gulp in hand, his love for his family - especially his adored mother, his overly generous nature, his devotion to his Seahawks, and the pairing of his enormous appetite with a magical metabolism.

David leaves behind his loving parents, Robert and Esther Sharp; his brother, Dan (Betsy) Sharp; sister, Sarah (John) Hayes; nephew, Austin (Michelle) Sharp; three nieces, Savannah (Kevin) Deming, Julia Hayes and Hannah Hayes; as well as two great-nephews, Adrian and Felix Sharp; and two great-nieces, Vivian and Lydia Sharp.

Rest in peace, David. You will be so very greatly missed.

Words cannot express the deep sorrow that sets in when you lose someone way before their time. David came into my life 25 years ago when he signed a lease with me at the Paulsen Center. Our friendship has grown over the years and he has become part of the family we have here at the Paulsen Center. I was able to see David a week before he passed and am grateful we spent some time chatting. You are missed my friend. May God keep in safe in his loving arms.

Dave was more than a boss to me. He was a friend and a confidant. It deeply saddens me I didn't get to say goodbye to him. I will remember my first interview, the last day at Sharp Real Estate Appraisal Corporation tens years later and many memories in between. Dave was very loyal and I would of retired with him if it wasn't for an ailing father. He had an impact on my life with his work ethic, patience, kindness, writing skills, blackjack skills, and love for his family. I'm going to going to miss you. I wish we could of watched one more Seahawk game together. I love you buddy! May you Rest In Peace with our awesome GOD!

I worked for David for almost 10 years. He was a nice man, always asking about my family. I would bring him leftovers; he loved my husbands cooking. I am so sorry for your loss. He talked about his family a lot. Now, we have another angel watching over us. He always wanted to take us to the casino for our birthday. Here are some pics from my bday in 2019. He dressed up as a high roller, which he was!

David was such a kind and loving soul. Most of my memories of cousin Dave revolve around our family reunions in Barboursville, West Virginia. I can still see Dave swinging in the old porch swings of Papa & Mamaw Sharps home. We were all laughing hysterically as Dave & Mark would entertain us with their theatrical ensemble of "Little Willey-Willey won't go home"... Dave playing the part of Willey's mother dragging Mark's ars across the front porch...
Dave's gentle-angelic demeanor most likely felt at home in the heavenly realms.
My heart aches to think he has left us for a while, but I will be forever grateful that Dave's orbit in life crossed mine & I am blessed to have him as my kin.

Hi family. We just read a note from Sarah. Needless to say we are very sad at this news about cousin David.
Christine and I just had a wonderful visit 2 weeks ago with Uncle Bob & Aunt Ester at their home in Camas. Sarah happened to be there too. We´re grieving for all of them. Praying for them all. ~Dave R
