I was so saddened to read of David"s passing in the paper this morning. He and I were good friends in the school year 1960-61, played football, double dated, and I treasured his friendship. His dad was much admired in Paducah, Ky. as a minister and a servant to many less fortunate people. David's sense of humor was his greatest asset. He and I were both very short but he never let that be a detriment to his ambition. He called me a few years ago when his class had a reunion in Paducah and I think he told me he was raising appaloosa horses. I loved him and will never forget him.

Mike and David met riding their bikes as kids. They played sports together and were close friends. David saved Mike's life when he found Mike's cancer! He was truly loved and will be missed!
