Green Sea, SC

David Anthony Shelley better known as "Tony" age 74, of Green Sea, died Friday, November 28, 2025, in his home.

Born in Marion County, SC., he was the son of the late Shelton Dothan Shelley and Betty June Bolton Shelley. In addition to his parent's, he was preceded in death by his wife Donna Buffkin Shelley.

He was a graduate of Green Sea High School Class of 1969, after graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he served his country.

Tony was a member of Green Sea Baptist Church. He was Gamecock fan, and loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter that loved to fish, playing golf, and cards, cook for others, and spending time with his friends and family.

Tony enjoyed spending time at the Green Sea Senior Center, and was a caregiver for Kent Clemons.

Left to cherish his memory, one daughter, Hope Shelley Sarvis (Chad) of Loris, SC., one son, Ryan Shelley (Becky) of Myrtle Beach, SC., two brothers, Thelton Shelley (Vickie) of Green Sea, Perry Shelley (Annette) of Myrtle Beach, SC, two sisters, Robin Haithock (Albert) of Mt. Gilead, NC., Joye Horne (Joseph) of Columbia, SC., four grandchildren, Brittany Shoe (Kyle) of Myrtle Beach, SC., Zack Shelley of Myrtle Beach, SC., Gannon Sarvis of Loris, SC., Savannah Sarvis of Loris, SC., one great grandchild, Asher Shoe.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 3:00pm in Green Sea Baptist Church with burial at a later date.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for memorials to be given in Tony's honor to the Green Sea Baptist Church Youth 1241 Green Sea Rd. Green Sea, SC 29545
