On Christmas Day, December 25th, 2020, David Lynn Simon, father, companion, friend, and loved one to so many, passed away from a heart attack at the all-too-early age of 48.
David was born on December 31st, 1971 in Westminster, California to Stephen and Susan Simon. Ever the California boy, David grew up in Orange County where he would reside his entire life. He attended Garden Grove's Murdy Elementary School and McGarvin Middle School and graduated from La Quinta High School in Westminster in 1990. He attended community college for some time and worked as a forklift driver before settling into his career as a Quality Assurance Technician. Originally working on video games at Interplay Productions he later transitioned to a Principal Equipment Technician for Confluent Medical Technologies. In February of 1994 he married Tina (nee Larizza) and welcomed his only son, Zachary Lynn into the world on June 10, 1994.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Susan. He is survived by his father, Stephen, his son, Zachary, and long-time girlfriend, Savina Greene.
David will be remembered for his quick wit, friendly nature, and commitment to his family and friends. From an early age he had a love of comic books, movies, and video games that would last throughout his life. He maintained many lifelong friendships and always kept in touch with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most importantly, David had caring and continuous relationships with his father, son, and Savina until the time of his passing. He will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love him.
