David F. Simpson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David F Simpson, age 79, of Broomall, PA, who departed peacefully on December 26, 2025. Born to the late Anne and John Simpson in Havertown, PA, David was a lifelong advocate for education and community.

A proud graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and Villanova University, David went on to earn his master's in education from West Chester University. His passion for teaching led him to serve as principal of Collegium Charter School, where he dedicated his career to nurturing young minds and supporting children with special needs.

David was a devoted member of St. Laurence Parish and later St. Anastasia Parish. He cherished time spent with family and friends, especially on memorable trips to Ocean City, NJ and Ocean City, MD. An avid Phillies fan since childhood, David loved attending games with his mother and later sharing that tradition with his own children. He was a true family man and spent any chance he had on the sideline cheering for all his grandchildren in the sports they played.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred (Eldridge) Simpson; loving children: John (Nicole), Jennifer (Brian), Mark (Destiny) and the late Denise; and cherished grandchildren TJ, Jacob, Ryan, Brianna, and Alexander John (AJ), along with many grand-pups. David is also remembered by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Jack, Bill, Tom, and Barbara.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday, January 2, 2026 9am Sacred Heart Church, Manoa and Shelbourne Rds, Havertown PA 19083 and to his Funeral Mass 11am in the Church. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
