I love you Dad. Everyone misses you so much. I feel a sense of relief knowing you are no longer in pain. You were a great dad, a wonderful grandfather, and awesome person. One of a kind for sure. Rest In Peace Dad.

I used to travel a lot with Dave about a decade ago; up and down the East coast working for the moving company. He had probably the hardest work ethic out of anyone I've ever known and he always expected me to work just as hard. In return, he made sure I was always taken care of. In some ways, he was like a second father to me during those times, and I'll always be thankful of that. He was full of great wisdom and life lessons.

We had some great times over the road, from pulling down a telephone pole because of a low hanging wire in the middle of a snowstorm on the coast of Maine; driving next to the beautiful mountain side in Vermont; waking up in the middle of a flood in Binghamton, New York and being stranded at a gas station for two days until the water subsided; getting ticketed in NYC for double parking a straight truck; jumping train tracks in the Freightliner in Virginia for fear of getting the trailer stuck; to cruising the coast down in Clearwater, Florida; and eating at every Waffle House along the way.

I bought a truck in Fredericksburg Virginia once, we were dead-heading home and rolling through that area, he didn't even hesitate to drive to the dealer and load my truck up in the back of the trailer to bring it home for me. He was the type of guy that would bend over backwards for you, truly a genuine being, a rarity to find anymore.

My condolences to Dave's family and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed.
