David Skedel

David Skedel, 71, of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, in Bridgeville Rehab and Care Center, Bridgeville. He was born September 7, 1953, in Dillonvale, Ohio, a son of the late Martin and Barbara Angel Skedel. David was a retired electrician from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, with over 30 years of service. A Catholic by faith, he loved kids, dogs, gardening and anything outdoors. He would always keep himself busy doing things outside. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Skedel; and two sisters, Janice Wayne and Catherine Skedel. Survivors include his partner, Linda Flaherty; three children, David Skedel, Jr. of Moundsville, W.Va., Martin (Trista) Skedel of Mississippi, and Julie Skedel of Wheeling, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Parker Skedel, Gavin Friede, Maxwell Blon and Franki Kerns; two sisters, Chris (Fred) Cybulski of Dillonvale, Ohio and Barb Skedel of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Martin (Cheryl) Skedel of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling, W.Va.
