It was through a neighborhood youth sports ministry hosted at the Sohlden´s house that I received Christ as Savior. The gospel was explained with Bibles open and the Spirit opened my eyes to the truth that day. There were times after that when Mr. Sohlden would ask me what God was teaching me- a question that did not make as much sense to me then as it does now. He showed patience to me as I worked for him as a young man helping take care of the lawn and building decks. I remember a time when I straightened up his shop- not thinking about how I was basically hiding his tools away in spots he wasn´t used to them being. He was always reasonable in giving instructions and feedback- probably what made him a good coach as well.
Grace and Josiah- I have a lot of love for the two of you, many memories. I appreciate your influence on me over the years. Thanks be to God that we all can lean into the hope that we have in Christ. I am praying for you and your family. -Rick Bagley

Josiah, Grace and family,

I am sorry to hear about your Dad. I have many fond memories of him growing up. He was my favorite soccer coach and one of our biggest cheerleaders in sports and life. Sending love and hugs to you.
