David C. "Dave" Spitale, 74, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2025. Dave was born in Brooklyn in 1950, then moved when he was 14 years old to Sunnyside, Staten Island, NY, where he has resided ever since.
Beloved husband of 24 years to Silvia Spitale, beloved son to his late parents Charles & Nellie (nee Nelson) Spitale, brother's Brian Spitale and the late Lou Spitale. Daughters Tina, Cara, and Nicole Spitale. Two stepson's Piotr and Dariusz Kustosik, two step granddaughters Oliwia and Natalia and many close friends. David was a retired NYC Sanitation worker, and his fondest memories were working with The Carullo family at Staten Island Amusement Machine Co. in Rosebank, S.I. as a merchandising machine operator. He was so enthusiastic about repairing and restoring Jukebox's. It was generally the subject when talking with friends and family. Throughout his lifetime David had a passion for cars, music, piano's, and jukebox's. David always said his happiest moments was time spent with his late Dad.
Nobody could ever dislike David. He was there when needed the most. Always opened his home to family and friends and will always be remembered for his calm, kind, and gentle way. He had a love for eating, attending parties, taking day trips in his car with his wife, Silvia, whether it was shopping or just taking a drive with the top down in his convertible. They enjoyed walking outdoors together in Clove Lake Park, on the boardwalk in S.I., and sitting by the beach or river at the Jersey Shore.
A service will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 10 am to 12 noon at the Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home located at 1289 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10302. We welcome all willing to pay their respects and help us remember David.
