David Lee Stack, 74, of Kernersville, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 26, 1950, in Guilford County to the late Charles Wayne Stack and Irene Cordelia Idol Stack.
David graduated from Northwest High School in the Class of 1968. He was a man of deep faith with a steadfast devotion to the people he loved.
In addition to a 35 year career at Procter & Gamble, David was a talented carpenter, roofer, and artist, known for his skilled hands and sharp eye for detail.
He found great joy in fishing with his buddies on Davis Island and was known for his quick wit and gift for “spinning a yarn".
David stayed active throughout his life, enjoying weightlifting and coaching youth softball when his children were young. He loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren that he adored.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynnette Watson Stack; children, Holly Stack (Joshua Dickens), Monica Garner (Trevor), Ryan Stack (Stacey), and Manda Gunter (Shawn); grandchildren, Noah Garner, Braylon Riddle, Ashby Garner, Willo McLaurin, Briar Garner, and Zakary Gunter; and siblings, Garland Stack and Danny Stack (Debra).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm. Officiating the service is Rev. Phil Kirkman.
