David L. Stark, 91, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his home. He was born February 18, 1933, in Wilmerding, PA, son of the late August and Jean (McGlashan) Stark. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 40 years, Patricia (Whitlatch) Stark; and three brothers, Allan, Malcolm, and Richard.
Dave was a long time employee of Westinghouse Air Brake Company, where he retired as a metal fabricator. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean War. In his younger days, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and hunting with his friends. You could often find him in his garage working on cars, and fixing just about anything. As a committed father, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family, including children, Amanda (Jim) Settelmaier, with whom he resided, Brenda (Alan) McGonigal, Bryan (Ginny) Hilty; three grandchildren, Josh and Lauren Settelmaier and Katherine McGonigal, who brought joy to his days.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Bridges Hospice.
Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., Murrysville. Interment is private. For online condolences, please visit www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.
