WEATHERFORD - David Stone passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Mount Olivet Chapel.
David J. Stone was born July 7, 1943, in Weatherford, Texas. He graduated from Birdville High School in 1961, and was known all through high school as "chicken hawk". David served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He took pride in serving his country, and was a very proud veteran.
He was known for his sense of humor, kindness, and his joke telling. David will be missed by all who knew him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Bernice Stone; and sister, Linda Hartsfield.
David is survived by the love of his life, Diane, often referred to as his "little bride" of 53 years; daughter, Mandy Brown and husband, Billy Brown; daughter, Stacy Stone; grandchildren, Harlow and Pressley Brown and Harrison Broyles; numerous relatives and many friends.
Remembrances can be made through contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, or to the American Diabetes Association.
