David Strohm Obituary

Dave was born March 2, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Franklin N. and Eugenia M. (Elliott) Strohm.
Dave was a star athlete. He garnered many awards during his junior high and high school track and cross-country career. He graduated SHS Class of 1970 and went on to graduate from Indiana University in 1974. While at IU, he competed in the Little 500 Cycling Race several times. Dave's work career was varied – serving as a counselor at the Indiana Boys School, a foreman in a woodworking shop, and a grill cook.
Dave had a deep love of music and played piano, guitar, banjo, fiddle, and mandolin. He was known for his passion for animals and enjoyed nature, pets, and wildlife. Dave loved his family dearly; we will miss him greatly.
Dave is survived by his siblings, Carl (Jeanette) and Paul (Desi) Strohm.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
