Spann Funeral Home - DicksonDavid Suggs, 68, passed away suddenly on August 15, 2025, surrounded by the family he cherished. Born on June 5, 1957, David lived a full and joyful life defined by love, laughter, and devotion to those closest to him.
David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who poured his heart into his family. He was attentive, supportive, and always present—whether lending advice, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when he was needed most. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and his love for them shone through in every part of his life.
A man who loved the outdoors, David found peace and happiness while fishing, tending to his yard, or spending time with his guns. He also had a passion for music, often picking up his guitar. Playful and lighthearted, David was known for his sense of humor and the joy he brought into every gathering.
He and his wife shared many adventures together, often exploring antique shops—an activity he liked to joke he had been “made to enjoy”. Along the way, he developed a fondness for collecting wooden ducks, each one telling its own little story.
David was also a man of strong convictions and interests. He was a proud supporter of President Donald Trump and a passionate Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, never missing the chance to cheer on his team.
Those who knew David will remember him as a fun-loving, faithful, and family-oriented man whose presence made life brighter. His legacy will live on in the countless memories he created with those he loved most.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.
