David Andrew Sunde

I had the great privilege of working with David on the FamilyLife Global team. He personally taught my wife, Kathy, and me to prepare Weekend to Remember messages and speak the FamilyLife way.

David and I traveled and ministered together in Benin, Cameroon, Gabon and Kathy was able to join us on several of these adventures. David was a mentor, guide and example for us.

But more than all of that, David was a special friend. We visited each other's homes and spent hours enjoying time together on our back decks and around dinner tables, talking about life, family, and going deeper with Jesus and ministry. We were constantly encouraging each other with what the Lord was showing us through authors, speakers and liturgical and contemplative practices. And on more than one of David's visit to Little Rock, Kathy and I picked up an extra ticket so David could enjoy a classical music concert with us.

He was truly a kindred-spirit and I miss him very much.

Always enjoyed chatting with David. He always offered wise counsel. Greatly appreciated our many chats.
