David Allen Switzer, 62, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by his wife of 30 years and his family.
He was survived by his dad, Andy Switzer; sister Kathy Hooker; brother Terrie Switzer; half brother Jimmy Kernstein; wife Bonnie Switzer; sons Brandon Allen Switzer (Madison) of Marshall, Illinois; Blake Edwin Switzer (Haylee Lookebill) of Terre Haute; daughters Bonnie Jean Adams (Duane) of Terre Haute and Bobbi Jo Ferris (Clyde) of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Adams-Taylor, Chelsea Adams-Taylor, Duane Adams Jr. (Peyton), Keysa Jolynn Ferris, CJ Ferris, Zaya Switzer, Kennedy Lookebill, Keegan Lookebill, Carson Switzer, Caroline Switzer, Marley Hornbrook; 10 great-grandchildren, Bentley Adams-Taylor, Brantley Adams-Taylor, Kingston Adams-Taylor, Ellianna Adams-Taylor, Elizabeth Adams-Taylor, Aaliyah McDaniel, Aria McDaniel, Lavane Mitchell II, Hunter Adams, and Wyatt Adams.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Kernstein; step-father Ed Kernstein; brother Rick Switzer; grandson Blaize Edwin Carter Switzer.
David enjoyed spending time with his family, he was a family man indeed. His favorite pastime was watching the Colts play. He will be loved and missed always. He never knew a stranger and made many friends through the years.
