Funeral Service for Mr. David G. Talton, 83, of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, will be Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Turk Holt will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. David G. Talton, a man of unwavering faith and abundant courage, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. His friendly demeanor and heartfelt commitment to his beliefs left an indelible mark on all who knew him. David's life was a testament to the power of faith, the joy of companionship, and the serenity that comes from a life well-lived. Born into the loving arms of Junior and Excelle Talton, David quickly grew into a man of strong personal faith. His early years were shaped by the values of love and community, which he upheld throughout his life. David was a cherished husband to the late Patricia S. Talton, and together they shared a lifetime of love and devotion. The legacy of their union is carried on by their daughters, Tara (Lee) Moody and Emily (Reid) Dunlap, both of Birmingham, AL. David cherished his grandchildren, Harry Moody and Hillary Dunlap. He enjoyed the fellowship with his brothers and their families, James (Carla) Talton, Wayne Talton, and Charles (Sherri) Talton. David was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, loving daughter Hope Talton, and precious grandchild Jack Moody, and his sister Betty T. Hall. A devout Christian, David was a faithful member of Orr Street Baptist Church for over half a century. His dedication to his faith was evident in his constant efforts to spread the gospel and live by its teachings. His enthusiasm for Alabama football was infectious, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite team, surrounded by friends and family. An avid fisherman, David found peace and solace in the quiet moments by the water. His love for the outdoors was a source of joy and relaxation, and it provided him with countless cherished memories. David's life was a journey marked by courage and faith, from his personal endeavors to the strength he displayed in many times of adversity. His friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure of many, where he was known for his sense of humor and love of others. As we bid farewell to David, we celebrate a life that was rich in love, faith, and friendship. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, a family who adores him, and many loved ones who respect him. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Though David's journey on earth has ended, we take comfort in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
