David Terribile Obituary

Published by Claire Brothers Funeral Home - Houston from Aug. 17 to Aug. 19, 2015.
David Richard Terribile, 62, was born in El Paso, Texas, on April 21, 1953. He was the son of a military officer, so his formative years were spent in Texas, Turkey, Germany and Virginia. He passed away at his home in the Woodlands, Texas on Friday, August 14, 2015.

Although his life has been cut short, he has left behind family and friends, who will remember his smile and personality. David received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and his Masters Degree from Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas. His career was spent in the oil and gas industry, and was most recently employed at IHS, Inc. He was also published in his field. Though everyone knew him to be a computer guru, he most enjoyed his boys, especially photographing their performances in the College Park High School band, as well as in the LSU Marching Band. His creative works can be viewed at www.woodlandsarts.com. Since the inception of College Park High School in 2005, he has photographed hundreds of band functions and was known as "the man behind the camera."

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Dolese Terribile; sons, David Branden Terribile, and Ryan Richard Terribile; brother, Dennis Terribile and wife, Kathy of Charlottesville, Virginia; sisters, Diane Terribile Atkinson and husband, Bill of Tampa, Florida and Deborah Terribile Stewart of Houston, Texas; sister in law, Janet Falgoust and husband, Dean of New Orleans, Louisiana and Kathy Finigan and husband, Denis also of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, John W. Finigan, Stephen T. Finigan, Luke B. Falgoust, Laura K. Falgoust, Heather Blanchard Tapia, Eric Blanchard, Michael Terribile, Brian Terribile, and Jackson Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lt. Col. Valentine Thomas Terribile and Olga Giaquinto Terribile of Slidell, Louisiana.

~ Service Details ~ Visitation: Wed. August 19, 2015, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (7801 Bay Branch Dr. The Woodlands, TX. 77385). Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.

I worked with David at IHS when he passed away. I learned more about cameras and lenses from him as that was his hobby. He will be missed.

David taught me how to be cool in high school. He was brilliant, entertaining and genuine. I will miss David and hope that Gayle, Branden and Ryan remember all that was good with David's much too short life.

I am truly sorry for your family's loss. I worked with David in the 70's, 80's and 90's. David was a kind man and was also willing to help someone. He was very intelligent and we had many a conversation about politics. I enjoyed his company very much. I will miss him

I will truly miss David. His smile and cheerfulness that always seemed to follow him.

David's photographs and pictures took me to places and people I would never be able to see. David's eye for the moment, hands on the camera and his vision of the possible brought the world to all of us.

David was an amazing person. He always had a smile and kind words for folks. We had a lot of great chats about his family and friends, Slidell, LSU, photography and so many other topics. What a sad time. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
