David Terry Turnquist

David Terry Turnquist, 63, of Upland, California, passed away on September 3, 2025. Born on May 14, 1962, David was a lifelong resident of California and a dedicated family man.

A passionate and devoted fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, David's loyalty never wavered, even during the team's most challenging seasons. He shared this love of basketball with his daughter, Deaja, and the two of them could often be found cheering on their favorite team together.

Beyond his love for basketball, David spent many years as a commercial truck driver. This career was not just a job, but a source of cherished memories for his family. His daughter, Deaja, fondly recalls the times she would ride along with him, a special memory being when he'd let her control the lever to "dump the load." It was a moment of trust and joy that perfectly captured their close bond. He loved cooking with his family and making treasured memories on holidays.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy; his father, Elmer; and his sister, Deborah. He is survived by his wife Yvonne; his daughter, Deaja Garrisi (Bill); his three cherished grandchildren, Lillian, Brooke, and William; and his siblings, Michael and Donna.
