David Thomas Thomas was born on April 17, 1943, to Nyron Thomas and Gerdie Barton. He was raised in Roy, Utah, one of ten children. He passed away on the morning of Christmas Eve 2025 after a brief illness.
Dave was a lifelong hard worker and loved to keep busy. He spent many years as a dairy farmer. He was a very proud employee of Roy High School for more than two decades where he worked in custodial services. Dave loved running into his “Royals” everywhere he went.
Dave was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz. He spent many enjoyable years in various bowling leagues at Sparetime Lanes in Roy where he made many friends.
Dave is survived by his dedicated wife, Connie; his six children, Andy Martinez, Carla Martinez-Williams, Clint Thomas, Chaunette Goodfellow, Davey Thomas, and Trevor Thomas; and five siblings, Glenn Thomas, Maurine Hull, JoAnn Rhees, and Barbara Dunn. He had a very special relationship with his granddaughter, Amy, and was a devoted caregiver of hers for more than 40 years. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored and always greeted with the best hugs.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammy; his parents; and five of his siblings, Betty, Nyron, Charles, Bonnie, and Don.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
