David was born October 31, 1935, to the late Ernest and Melissa (Upper) Thompson. He attended Mt. Morris community schools and worked for General Motors Fisher Body in Flint, Michigan for 30 years, he retired in 1988. David married the love of his life, Marilyn Beth "Judy" Boggs, on October 1, 1954, at the United Methodist Church in Mt. Morris. Together they shared 67 wonderful years. Judy preceded David in death in August 2021. David proudly took a big step toward Jesus on June 18, 2017, when he was baptized. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and being outdoors tending to his yard. David was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David is forever loved by his children: David (Gwen) Thompson, Nancy Hill, and Ernest Thompson; 3 grandchildren; 2 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Melissa; Sisters: Bethany Blood and Beverly Haney. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
