David "Dwight" Tischner

David "Dwight" Tischner passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 29, 2021. He was born on September 20, 1943 in Murray, Utah to Deryl and Bernice Tischner.

His early childhood was spent on the family farm in the drylands of South Jordan, Utah learning hard work and developed his love for his tractor.

Dwight graduated in 1961 from Murray High School. He served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Scotland that cemented his love and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. When returning home, he married his high school sweetheart Tamra Teerlink for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They started their family living in Sandy, Utah for a brief time before they settled and raised their 5 children in Alpine, Utah.

He will always be remembered for a rigorous work ethic, love of carpentry, and a desire to get one more ride on his Kubota tractor. Dwight loved the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to spend time with family and friends at Lake Powell or fishing in Alaska.

His grandkids were the light in his life during his later years. A Sees sucker was quickly offered after a big hug.

Dwight is survived by his children; Staci (Mayling) Vest, Troy (Robyn) Tischner, Becky (Tyler) Brinkman, Heather Revell, Kristi (Travis) Zingleman, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Siblings Vickie Barton, Linda Johnson. Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sweetheart Tamra, his mother and father, Deryl and Bernice Tischner, brother Richard Tischner, brother Kevin Tischner, sister Denise Dysart, providing a reunion that he deeply longed for.

We would like to thank all of the staff at Harmony Hills Assisted living for loving care that they gave to our dad.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at 165 North 100 W East Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be held there on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Alpine City Cemetery, Alpine, Utah.
