David and I went to school for eight years together at Saint Gregory ‘s. I remember David and I working odd jobs during the summer in order to buy parts for a go cart that we build. We used to ride that thing down the driveway and the sidewalk and we thought we were in the Indy 500. I don’t know why, but I thought about him this morning so I googled him and saw his obituary. My condolences to his family and I am so sorry that this note is late and I realize the possibility that you might not even see it, but I needed to say what I needed to say about David.

Memories of his zest for life that I will always cherish and love.

Saddened to learn of David's death. He was the outgoing Scoutmaster of Troop 307 just as my son was an incoming Scout. Despite a sometimes gruff exterior, his love for the boys in the troop was obvious, and his positive influence will continue through the lives of the scouts he touch.

I met david in the 4th grade at St Gregory's, and we remained friend's for many years when his dad passed away a few years ago I wrote him a note and he kindly responded to it. I regret not trying to talk to him
I knew he had become a very good adult, and knew of his interest in the boy scouts
To his wife, children, and sisters I send my deepest sympathy. I know he will be missed

I want to thank you for being a very important influence in my life both professionally and on a personal level. We met when I was 17 and dumb and over the next decade I learned valuable lessons about life and integrity in what we do. I'll keep living those lessons and hopefully we'll see each other again someday. Thanks Dave

You will be missed Mr. V! Thank you for your leadership, guidance, mentorship, and example for those years in the Boy Scouts. Go with God Sir. God bless you and your family.
