David B. Vaughn, age 73, of Prudenville, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at home.

David was born on April 5, 1952, in Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan, to John and Donna (Irish) Vaughn. He graduated from Houghton Lake High School in 1970. David served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a compressor mechanic for Phillips Industry, and also worked for Bierlein Company in Midland before retiring in 2019. He David was married on December 29, 1980, in Borger, Texas, to Debra Cox. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Moose and enjoyed playing chess with his grandson, watching old movies, tinkering with anything mechanical, and especially loved all of his animals.

David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debbie Vaughn; daughter, Mandy (Scoot) Bisel; grandson, Samuel Vaughn; siblings, Brian (Peggy) Vaughn, Nathan (Kelly Adams) Vaughn, and Kari (Mark Jeffreys) Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Samuel Vaughn.

Per David's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a military graveside will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Markey Township.
