David N. Vayda, age 77 of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. Born in Uniontown, PA, David lived in Morrisville for the past 60 years.
He was a graduate of Redstone High School in Republic, PA. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Vayda was employed as a millwright with U.S. Steel for 34 years. David was an avid fisherman and regularly participated in fresh water fishing tournament. He was very handy, and loved to make his own fishing lures. Mr. Vayda also enjoyed hunting, making furniture, beekeeping and wine making. He was fond of building and racing model cars, boats and airplanes. Dave was an avid bowler as well, and also made wire wrap jewelry which he sold at craft shows.
Son of the late Albert and Blanche (Vayda) Jacob and brother of the late Jackie LaRue, Hazel Pierre, Albert Vayda and Shirley Westlake, he is survived by his loving wife Marie (Radosti) Vayda, a daughter Wendy Vayda-Lubin of Morrisville, a grandson Matthew Lubin and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Memorial Mass at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. His interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call on December 27th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a memorial contribution, in David’s name, to the Eosinophilic Esophagitis Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352 or call 267-426-5332 between 8:30 AM and 5 PM.
