December 14, 1938 – September 26, 2025
Saugus - Santa Clarita arts community supporter and promoter, David Veal, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was 86.
A resident of Saugus since 1980, David helped create a lasting arts legacy in Santa Clarita. His dedication, commitment, and contribution to local arts events and organizations include the Cowboy Poetry Festival, Festival of the Arts, Arts Slam, the Santa Clarita Artists' Association, Outwest, the Western Writers' Guild, the Santa Clarita Blues Society, L.A. SummerFest, and SCV-Arts, airing locally on SCVTV CH 20.
A memorial service will be held in late October. Our beloved Dave will be laid to rest at Eternal Valley in Newhall, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bridge to Home are greatly appreciated.
