David Vitaz Obituary

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his daughter, Jackie Vitaz (Noah Williams); and his siblings, Bob Vitaz (Sharon), Fran Dickson (Don), and Barb Schill (Jerry). He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Tom Vitaz and Maryann Imburgia.
David grew up in Cleveland, attending Artemus Ward Elementary, Carl F. Shuler Middle School, and John Marshall High School, where he was heavily involved in sports. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Ashland University, where he was a proud member and chapter president of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.
David served as Chief Financial Officer for many years. His commitment to public service was present in his roles as president of both the Lake County Board of Elections and the Lake Hospital Systems Board of Trustees. He was also actively involved in the Republican Party, serving as treasurer for the Lake County Republican Party, and was a member of the Friday 13 Club. David spent time volunteering for organizations close to him throughout his life.
David was a loving member of the Vitaz and Hanna families and the Lake County community. He will be missed by all that knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to a charity close to your heart. Private services will be held.

Dave was a friend and teammate since elementary school at Artemus Ward Elementary and was a close friend of my entire family. He was a Groomsman in my wedding and though we have been apart since I left for Vietnam, our memories together will always be with us. May God give comfort to you, Bev, and also to your family. Rest in Peace, my longtime friend, knowing that you will not be forgotten.

Dave has been a good friend since high school and our reconnection with our golf group these last several years. Memories are many and long lasting. His humor and competitive spirit will be missed. He lived a lot and gave a lot. Rest in peace Dave
