David Ward Obituary
David was born on January 31, 1964, in Pennington Gap, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Bernice Ward; brother, Billy Ward.
Those left to cherish his memory is his mother, Thelma Ward; brother, Charlie Ward; sister, Debbie Ward and Donnie Artrip; an aunt and uncle, Mary and Roger Longworth; nieces and nephews, Lynn Isom, Joshua Ward (Jennifer), Bryce Ward, and Bethany Ward.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Mark Tabor officiating.
A committal service will follow at 2:00 pm at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, Virginia.
David Ray Ward and his family are in the care of Pennington Gap Funeral Home.

This is devastating news that we just got he had a heart of gold and care for others, I'm a housekeeper at the econolodge inn & suites in rockmart ga we had the joy of being able to get to know David and he called me his new girlfriend even had me as new girlfriend in his contacts on his phone, he will be missed dearly and forever loved by me (Ashley Richey) my fiancee Quentin wein and my dog kita wein, this is a picture of David hold our dog kita
