DAVID LEROY WIESINGER David Leroy Wiesinger, 79, of Ogden, Kan., formerly of Leavenworth, Kan., died on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at home in Ogden surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph of the Valley Cemetery, Easton, Kan. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, until time of Rosary at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to help with final expenses. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. David was born on March 30, 1945, in Leavenworth, the son of Carl and Goldie (Cunning) Wiesinger. He attended St. Jospeh Grade School, Leavenworth. David enlisted in the U.S. Army but due to health reasons he was not allowed to join. He worked for the former Jahn Grocery in Leavenworth as the produce manager for many years, from there he worked at Waymire's Grocery also in Leavenworth and then retired in 2008 from Atchison Country Mart as frozen food manager. David was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Effingham, Kan., and UFCW (United Food Service Workers Union) and the Eagles in Leavenworth. He enjoyed cooking and grilling, preparing full meals for family and friends. He was married to Patricia Ralls in 1963, they later divorced in 1983. David was later married to Patricia Eagle on August 14, 1986. She survives of the home in Ogden. Additional survivors include sons Floyd "Rusty" (Amanda) Vandruff, Ogden, Andrew (Missy) Vandruff, Atchison, Kan., Hayden (Carley) Wiesinger, Merriam, Kan., four daughters Sarah (Mike) Creedon, Effingham, Suzanne (Bob) Heckman, Leavenworth, JoAnn (Michael) Green, Leavenworth, and Brenda Wiesinger, Leavenworth, three sisters Carol Robertson, Leavenworth, Barbara Gee, Martinsville, Ind., and Patty Wiedower, Lansing, Kan., 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brother, Sony, Leo, and Charlie Wiesinger, four sisters Dorothy McWilliams, Mary Seymore, Shirley Warner, and Helen Kilpatrick, one grandson and one great-grandchild.
